CompassQuest
Game-Based Empowerment – case of Scavenger Hunt

This project is set to create orienteering camps
with a specific focus on engaging high school students from a wide range of backgrounds, including
those in remote regions and those encountering socio-economic difficulties.

About

The CompassQuest project aims to:
• Promote an active lifestyle by integrating walking, running, and cycling into orienteering.
• Encourage social inclusion by engaging students from diverse backgrounds, including
refugees and those from rural areas.
• Foster teamwork, problem-solving, and critical thinking through hands-on experiential
learning.
• Enhance cultural awareness by connecting students with local and European heritage.

• Develop a replicable methodology for high schools, NGOs, and sports clubs, ensuring long-
term sustainability.

The project will organize game-based orienteering camps (4-hour sessions with 5-10 km routes),
reaching at least 80 students. All materials will be multilingual, accessible, and inclusive,
ensuring broader participation.
